Norfleet Homes is a family-owned and operated homebuilder proudly serving Newberry, Florida since 1981. While our construction roots span more than four decades, the Norfleet family’s story in Newberry began over 120 years ago. The Norfleet family moved from Virginia during the early days of the phosphate industry. To support their family and help feed phosphate employees they began raising cattle, planting deep roots that would shape generations of involvement, leadership, and investment in the community we proudly call home. That legacy continues today as the family still operates a working farm and proudly supplies local beef to the community.
As Newberry grew, so did the Norfleet family’s commitment to hard work, stewardship, and service.
Mentholee Norfleet embodied that commitment through her leadership as Newberry’s first female mayor, helping guide important infrastructure improvements that supported the town’s growth and future. That spirit of leadership continued through Ed Norfleet II and his son, Tripp Norfleet, both of whom were raised in Newberry, attended Newberry schools, played football, and graduated with lifelong ties to the community.
In 1997, Tripp Norfleet officially established Norfleet Homes, bringing the family’s values into the homebuilding industry. Today, the next generation proudly carries that legacy forward. Tripp’s children, Christianna Norfleet and Zeke Norfleet, are actively involved in the business—Christianna overseeing homebuilding management and events, and Zeke overseeing all sales and operations. Together, the Norfleet family remains hands-on, accessible, and personally invested in every home built.
